I thought we’d kick things of today with a look at what I like to call the internet marketing trap!

So just what do I mean by that?

There are literally hundreds, probably more like thousands of people looking to earn a living online. Once they start having a look around at what they can do, most will quickly get taken over with a rush of enthusiasm after they discover the wonders of affiliate marketing.

They come across marketers who are making huge sums of money each month, and then there are those that have made a fortune in a matter of weeks, or maybe just a few months?

It’s so easy, just promote other peoples products, no customers or stock to worry about!

All you have to do is submit a few articles, build some free pages on sites like Squidoo or Hubpages, and then whack up a couple of your own websites to really pull in the profits.

What about traffic I here you say, well that’s easy as well, all you have to do is pay 5 cents a click and you can get thousands of customers to your site each week using PPC.

Or if you don’t want to pay for traffic, all you have to do is go onto social sites like Twitter or Facebook, you can then build lists or community groups with thousands of members, link to your websites and BINGO! There’s loads of customers buying your affiliate offers.

All you need is 10 websites making $1,000 dollars a month each, it won’t be hard because that’s a measly one sale a day at about $35 each commission.

Build 10 of those over 10 weeks and you’re pulling in $10,000 a month.

What the heck, not enough for you, just build another 10 more!

So you’re gonna pack your job in, work a few hours each week, and spend the rest of your time lazing on the beach, or playing golf.

It’s so simple, I can’t believe there aren’t more people doing it?

So what is the internet marketing trap?

In a nutshell, you just read it….

Some simple theory, thrown together with a few numbers, and demonstrating just what can Really be achieved.

Yes, I do mean REALLY because there’s absolutely nothing wrong with the theory, or the numbers.

Let me give you another real world, offline, comparison.

Rent yourself some small store premises, decide what you want to sell, fill your shelves with the products, unlock your doors, and sit back and wait for customers to come in and buy. At the end of the day, lock the doors, and go count your cash. Then just open another, and another…

It’s so simple, I can’t believe there aren’t more people doing it?

Hang on a minute, haven’t you heard that somewhere before!

Are you starting to see what the internet marketing trap really is?

It’s all very well having the theory, but do you Really know how to put it into practice?

If you’ve ever been involved in retail or marketing for a large corporation, you’ll know that there’s a heck of a lot goes on “behind the scenes.” It’s much more than just fill the shelves and open the doors, but let’s get back to internet marketing.

Don’t let any of this put you off – there is a solution!
