Thanks for very clear thinking about SEO. I’ve been doing this since 1997. Now I understand that the requirements for ranking #1 for a keyword like ‘travel’ or even ‘cheap air fares’ are lightyears apart from the requirements for ranking #1 on a keyword like ‘yellow indian ring-neck small parrot mix’ — the secret is in getting specific, and relevant. Brand names, model numbers and buyer words like ‘best price on.. ‘ or ‘discount’, ‘buy… ‘ will get better results. So my point is that ‘SEO’ isn’t really a generic thing. It depends far more on your initial keyword research. GD, Australia
